About Me

Jackie Buttice has devoted her life to the arts. Born in Los Angeles, she grew up in the record business, immersed in an ever-changing musical and artistic landscape that shaped her creative sensibilities from an early age. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in New Media from the University of California, San Diego.
For twelve years, Jackie ran her own web design company in Silicon Valley, creating marketing campaigns and digital assets for a range of startups as well as Stanford University. Driven by a deep passion for modern art and design, she ultimately chose to focus her career on education—dedicating herself to inspiring the next generation of female digital artists and creators.
In 2014, she earned her MFA in Design and Technology from the San Francisco Art Institute. Over the past decade, Jackie has taught full time at Seattle University and at colleges throughout California, specializing in graphic design and web design.
She is currently a full-time Assistant Professor of Art at Porterville College and remains actively engaged in the creative community through volunteering and collaboration with fellow artists and alumni at San Francisco Artists Alumni.
